Founded in 1975 in the wake of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the South Carolina Legislative Black Caucus has served as a powerful voice for underserved and underrepresented communities across the state. Its members continue to advance policies supporting educational opportunity, accessible healthcare, environmental justice, fair housing, and economic empowerment.
The 50th Anniversary Gala will honor this remarkable legacy while looking ahead to the Caucus’s next chapter of leadership and public service.

Individuals and organizations may support the Gala as a Friend of SCLBC at a contribution level between $1,000 and $4,999.
